I launched this site in March 1995 while a freshman in college. At the time I had a small collection of mediocre reviews that eventually expanded into the sizable site you see today.
I am a former newspaper editor, now working in the corporate world — although newspapers are as corporate as anything else these days. I have a diverse background in writing, editing, technology, and a variety of newspaper production and website development work.
I live in Illinois with my wonderful wife and two children. Work and family keep me busy, but I've managed to keep this site going in between the important stuff, and hope to for years to come.
